Job Description:

The IT Manager role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the IT department in alignment with the business objectives of the organization. The IT Manager will plan, coordinate IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide management and support for daily operational activities of the IT department, both in CA and FL. The IT Manager will also maintain and implement IT policies, procedures and best practices.  


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complete daily IT activities, requirements and projects
  • Manage IT staffing, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation and disciplinary actions
  • Set up/maintain exchange servers
  • Interface with other departments to gather and provide information and support in CA and FL
  • Unify information between all facilities in CA and FL
  • Hardware and software installation to include computer/server maintenance, PC builds and repairs
  • Set up/maintain PC and Apple workstations for all departments
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and resolve computer and office equipment related issues
  • Manage IT inventory and supplies
  • Set up/maintain servers and security credentials between all facilities in CA and FL
  • Maintain security systems, equipment, and access control to company infrastructure
  • Set up security servers
  • Diagnose bandwidth issues, availability and overall network infrastructure: network connectivity, protocols, telephones, peripherals and copiers
  • Practice asset management for IT hardware, software and equipment
  • Manage computer operation scheduling, data backup, storage and retrieval functions
  • Maintain disaster recovery plans
  • Perform routine infrastructure and cyber security audits
  • Provide “on call” IT support after hours when needed (via company supplied phone)
  • Organization and cleanliness of office supplies and equipment will be routine, as well as organization of data and company resources is also expected
  • Manage and maintain data security, storage, backup and restrictions of CUI (Controlled Unclassified Information).

  • Requires excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing with executives, colleagues and individuals, internal or external
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills, able to effectively interact with all levels of employees and management
  • Proficient computer skills with a working knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
  • Ability to create procedures, technical instruction and documentation, including network diagrams in Visio
  • Must organize, multitask and prioritize work flow appropriately
  • Ability to read and accurately follow instructions
  • Must possess the ability and desire to encourage and facilitate a positive and productive work environment for all employees
  • Available to work evenings and weekends as necessary
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 lbs.
  • Must know how to terminate RJ45
  • Must be able to travel to Florida as needed to support IT needs for FL locations


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology
  • Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in IT Administration
  • CompTIA A+/N+/S+ certification is preferred
  • Proficient in supporting Windows Server 2008, 2012(preferred), 2016, Windows 7/8/8.1/10, MS Office and Outlook
  • Proficient with supporting Mac OS
  • Proficient with SonicWALL
  • Proficient working with Windows Server Roles i.e. Hyper-V, DNS, Active Directory, GPO, Print Server, File Server
  • Proficient working with NETGEAR VLAN
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Proficient in Office 365 administration
