Lead Financial Reporting Analyst - Fixed Assets

Role Summary: The Lead Financial Reporting Analyst is a dynamic role that plays a critical part on the controllership team. This role is responsible for all aspects of fixed assets for the business including subledger accounting, internal controls, process simplification, and operational excellence to deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis for fixed assets.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Lead Financial Reporting Analyst - Fixed Assets you will:
Process leader and subject matter expert for consolidated fixed asset balances
Maintain fixed asset subsystem, which records key asset data required to track and support plant and equipment expenditures
Ownership and coordination while providing support to project managers for the fixed asset PP&E full physical inventory
Provide support and guidance on the various company policies and GAAP requirements for fixed assets to the business
Analyze and correct variances between the Fixed Assets Subsystem and related GL accounts for fixed assets
Assist the team in working with KPMG and Corporate Audit Staff in providing audit schedules and to resolve any financial reporting issues identified during the audit
Maintenance of Oracle ERP projects as related to fixed assets
Simplification liaison for the controllership team and drive process and issue resolution and push for simplification
Prepare and review balance sheet analysis as needed to support business reviews
Prepare journal entries ensuring compliance with GE accounting procedures and US GAAP
Complete Account Reconciliations as a member of the controllership team
Record consolidation journal entries during the monthly closing process
Provide solutions to accounting and financial questions from business unit or operating location personnel by researching, analyzing and interpreting data
Develop and provide training, as necessary
Participate in key strategic initiatives and assist with other ad hoc projects
Account Reconciliation administrator for the business as needed
Willingness to contribute, however possible, to ensure overall effectiveness of position
Collaborate with various levels of business and corporate financial personnel on accounting and disclosure matters
Work with Information Technology/Digital team to test enhancements made to financial processes
Document policies, procedures and workflow for assigned areas of responsibility
Enforce Controllership in accordance with GE and GEH Policies and Procedures
Ensure all systems and processes adhere to GE General Accounting Procedures (GAP) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and recommend and implement enhancements as changes warrant
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor s Degree from an accredited university or college in Finance or Accounting
Minimum 3 years of experience in a financial role
Desired Characteristics:
CPA license preferred
Oracle ERP experience
Tableau Reporting experience
Advanced in Microsoft Excel
5+ years of operational accounting
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others and drive change while working across all levels, functions and regions
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Energetic, enthusiastic, self-starter
Ability to work in a matrix organization and ability to react to emerging priorities
Excellent interpersonal, written / verbal communication, and leadership skills
Strong organizational skills ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Willingness to be proactive
Proficient in PowerPoint
