Schedule Full-timePrimary Location United States-Louisiana-Baton RougeOrganization CorporateJob Summary:Responsible for supervising and directing QA/Testing activities in the IT department. Works closely with the VP of Enterprise Architecture, Software Development Managers, Configuration and Release Team, and Database Administrators on all QA/testing, project/defect tracking & release management projects in accordance with the business needs. Will work directly with business leaders to manage user acceptance testing. Responsible for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Essential Functions:

  • Selects, trains, and retains skilled staff necessary to meet fundamental requirements of this job.
  • Assigns tasks and responsibilities in a fair and reasonable manner.
  • Consults with and advises staff concerning work flow, deadlines, policies and procedures, problems/grievances, and interdepartmental relations.
  • Create/Streamline all testing protocols/procedures/processes for IT QA/Testing Department.
  • Work with the testing team to establish guidelines for issues such as testability, regression testing and unit testing. Create test plans/guidelines, test strategy, test execution and assist in implementing these plans/guidelines.
  • Responsible for day-to-day resolution on production issues, and the testing of new applications.
  • Conduct all testing on software changes, from initial Programming testing to working with initial and secondary Beta sites.
  • Achieve results, meet deadlines, and adjust to quickly changing priorities in a fast-paced software-testing environment. Effective time management and organizational skills, and a thorough approach to problem solving.
  • Attend Programming meetings related to software changes, from initial planning stages, to final implementation.
  • Interact closely with Software Development Managers to resolve issues.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned or required.
  • QualificationsQualifications:Required:
  • Management and supervisory experience required.
  • 5 to 8 years experience testing Windows applications and user interfaces, software testing processes and product testing procedures
  • Posses analytical skills including problem solving and strong organizational skills.
  • 1 to 3 years experience in the home health industry.
  • Preferred:
  • BS Degree or Certification in technical degree preferred.
  • Travel:
  • Minimum degree of travel.
