Manufacturing Engineer

Manufacturing Engineer will utilize Lean Principles to develop/ improve processes to meet Safety standards, Quality standards and Customer demands. Provide support with process and product issues and plays an essential role in the procurement of new manufacturing equipment Your responsibilities

• Set direction for, lead and take ownership of improving safety, quality, customer service and productivity in machining departments using appropriate technology to solve problems and accomplish company and plant goals
• Design and Develop new and improved machine shop manufacturing processes, including Automation: to include equipment specifications, justification, Capital procurement, installation, start-up, capability studies, as well as continuous improvement
• Select and design fixtures, tooling, accessories, and material for new and existing CNC Machining
• processes
• Assist in development of new product lines and processes
• Establish Machining process standards, shop practices, manufacturing instructions and operator
• training
• Establishment of time standards and routings
• Aggressive pursuit of Machining process improvements and cost reductions
• Participate in and Lead employee teams for Machining process improvement using Lean Flex Flow
• methodologies
• Track projects using appropriate tools, present reports on progress, problems and solutions
• Serve as Machining technical resource for Process Improvement Teams
• Must be willing to work overtime and off-shifts as needed. Majority of scheduled hours will be during dayshift hours

Your background

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required with minimum 0-2 years experience.
• BUS / SAP Experience desirable.
• Preferred experience includes: Familiarity with AutoCAD and Solid Works; Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Project; Ability to read, interpret, and edit drawings; Automation background; CNC Machining; Programming, and Fixture Design with a background in manufacturing;
• Lean manufacturing principles; Quality background.
