This role will be based at our Liverpool, NY facility.
How will you make an impact?
Primary duties of the manufacturing engineer are; release to manufacturing (RTM) new products, capital equipment identification and deployment for process improvements, manufacturing support, and continuous improvement of new and existing processes/products.

What will you do?

  • Learn and develop in a skilled manufacturing setting
  • Develop skills to communicate with manufacturing professionals who specialize in assembly and testing of products
  • Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.
  • Modernizing the facilities documentation
  • Process implementation and training
  • Documentation development
  • Lean manufacturing (5s, 6 Sigma, PPI)
  • Process improvement

How will you get here?

  • Bachelor of Science degree in manufacturing engineering or other suitable technical curriculum plus 3 years related experience.
  • Experience in creation, modification, validation, verification, and implementation of written assembly and test processes.
  • Experience in creation of mechanical/electrical assembly and test fixtures.
  • Experience in use of 3-D modeling software, e.g. SolidWorks.
  • Experience in use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Material Resource Planning (MRP), and/or Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Knowledge of semiconductor assembly processes a plus.
  • Knowledge of electronic assembly acceptability standards, e.g. IPC-A-610.
  • Knowledge of cable and wire harness acceptability standards, e.g. IPC-A-620.
  • Knowledge of Electro Static Discharge (ESD) theory and prevention methods, e.g. ANSI/ESD S20.20.
  • Knowledge of high vacuum and/or DI water systems.
  • Ability to work independently to achieve established project goals.
  • Effective oral and written communication, planning, and organization skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a cross-functional team
  • Strong willingness to learn, be mentored, and improve
  • Desire to contribute and improve
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and Word
  • Knowledge of Solidworks and Dozuki a plus
