Manufacturing Technician

Job Description

Manufacturing Technicians perform functions associated with all wafer production including operations, equipments, process and training. Collects and evaluates operating data to conduct online equipment adjustment and ensure process optimization. Responsible for running lots in a qualitative way. Also, responsible for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, spares, and sustaining. In addition, the Manufacturing Technician is responsible for improvement processes, troubleshooting nonstandard events in the production line, and reviewing technological health and stability. The Manufacturing Technician may be responsible for the buddy, trainer, and certifier levels and is in charge of updating training manuals. May participate in safety forums and Emergency Response Team as required. Work is somewhat complex and is performed within the spectrum ranging from narrowly defined parameters and limited judgment up to highly complex and nonstandard assignments in nature and broadly defined parameters. High degree of judgment and initiative is required in resolving complex nonstandard problems and developing recommendations. Normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new work.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Possess an Associates or Bachelor degree or Mechanical or Technical Certification or related hands-on manufacturing experience of 6+ months or equivalent military training.

Candidate must be willing to:
  • Work a day or night shift compressed work week schedule. Candidates must have the ability to work on a compressed work week schedule. Shifts are twelve hours long and rotate from three to four days a week. There are four shifts which include Sunday/Monday/Tuesday every other Wednesday days (Shift 5); Thursday/Friday/Saturday every other Wednesday days (Shift 7); Sunday/Monday/Tuesday every other Saturday nights (Shift 4); and Wednesday/Thursday/Friday every other Saturday nights (Shift 6).
  • Work in a clean room environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses and gloves.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs., and spend the majority of time (greater than 90% less break time) on the floor working on tool sets, walking 3-5 miles a day, and/or standing/sitting for 9 hours.

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 6 months of prior experience in the following areas:
Electronic/avionic experience.
Knowledge in electronics or digital circuitry.
Experience with end-user computer skills and navigation, schematic/wiring diagram reading, electronic systems troubleshooting and maintenance.
Experience with testing, repairing and troubleshooting faulty electronic equipment down to a component using available schematics, technical data and test equipment
