Job Description :

Role: Mechanical Design Engineer

Experience: Required 2 to 9 Years

Education - Bachelors/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

 

• Experience in any 3D modeling software preferable in Autodesk Inventor (SolidWorks/Creo/UG NX/Catia).
• Good understanding of Parametric Modelling, constraints, and best practices in 3D Design Software.
• Ability to generate concepts, design & detail engineering, creating manufacturing and fabrication drawings as per customer requirements.
• Experience & exposure in Sheetmetal thickness, design considerations and material selection.
• Experience in processing Engineering Change Management (ECN), BOM Updates and ERP.            
• Design of sheet metal, machined, fabricated components and component selection of mechanical components (Design Selections and Suggestions).
• Good understanding of various mechanical processes and methods. (Casting, Sheet Metal Forming, Fabrication, Metal Joining)
• Knowledge of EPDM check in/outs, Data Cards and ERP exposure is required.
• Experience and Knowledge in Product Development Life Cycle (Mechanical Engineering)
• Application of GD&T as per ASME Y 14.5, Tolerance Stack up Analysis & Methods.
• Should be able to lead projects with the help of Offshore team and take up Design Review Meetings with Customers directly.
• Continuously interact with Engineering Manager & VP Engineering
• Ability to work in fast pace environment.
• Basic programming skills & knowledge on CAD Design Automation (ILogic/Driveworks) is preferred.
