    Duties Summary

    This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), Houston, Texas.

    Responsibilities
    • Performing a wide variety of administrative and management services essential to the operations of the office.
    • Procuring routine and more complex equipment and services using purchasing card and researches potential vendors and works with staff to purchase requirements.
    • Using various software packages such as work processing, spreadsheets, database, presentations, etc. to produce, store, and retrieve information and presentations.
    • Participating in the evaluation of administrative programs, systems, and methods. Identify ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of these services at the local level.

    Qualifications Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Minimum Qualification requirements as noted below.
    Minimum Qualifications:
    GS-09: At least one year (52 Weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level, OR equivalent public or private sector experience. For this position, specialized experience is defined as
    • Identifying administrative problems to recommend solutions in multiple specialty areas;
    • Providing advice to staff on established methods and procedures on multiple specialty areas;
    • Providing administrative support to various specialty areas (i.e. budget, management analysis, human resources, training, logistics, procurement, and security).
    OR successfully completed 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master s degree OR a Master s or equivalent graduate degree at an accredited college or university in a field that provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.
