Network Analyst Senior

About the team:
The current team supports a diverse environment of various networking technologies for one of the largest CT based financial institutions. There is a focus on teamwork and the ability to work well together so that everyone is successful. We are looking for the right candidate that fits in well, exhibits teamwork and has a high technical level of networking skillsets.

What you will be doing:
You will be working onsite supporting a CT based financial institution for all networking related services. This will include assisting in architecture design, testing, implementation, and support of all networking and voice infrastructures. We also assist the customer in new technology and security project initiatives where applicable. Occasional travel will be required.

  • Performs secure device configurations, internal operating system upgrades and software upgrades and deploys network devices including routers, switches, load balancers and firewalls.
  • Follows documented network services processes and procedures identifies gaps in processes or documentation and suggests improvements.
  • Monitors, responds and provides resolution for all network problem and incident tickets.
  • Provides senior level network engineering perspective and efficiencies to benefit the team and customer as a whole.
  • Updates or creates any required network diagrams or related documentation to ensure things are well documented to support the internal team as well as audits that come up

What you bring:

  • In-depth knowledge of network technologies, i.e., routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, network and routing protocols, DNS
  • Knowledge of basic IT technologies, i.e., operating systems, network devices, software development and architecture
  • Enterprise Switching, Routing, Firewall and Wireless Experience Cisco IOS, Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto or ASA
  • Previous Senior Network Engineer experience operating in a customer support enterprise environment.
  • Polished communication skillset and a seasoned IT professional.
  • Positive attitude and the ability to work successfully within a team.
  • Capable of understanding configuration standards, as well as making suggestions to improve for a better solution for the customer as a whole.

  • Bachelors degree in technical discipline or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
  • Cisco CCNP certification obtained in the last 5 years
  • AWS Cloud Network Experience
  • SDWAN Cisco IWAN, Cisco Meraki, Cisco Viptela
  • Wireless Aruba, Cisco Meraki
  • VMWare NSX Experience
  • Load Balancer Citrix NetScaler
  • Cisco Call manager, Voice/QoS experience
  • Wireshark capture and analysis skills
  • Network Programmability Experience (DEV-NET, Ansible, Python)
  • Cisco UCS/Fabric Interconnect experience

Advanced professional role requiring extensive skill and proficiency answers and responds to complex network related questions and inquiries via telephone and electronic messaging systems utilizing established procedures. Ability to provide communication on issues or complex information to a wide audience based on knowledge. Participates in strategic planning and direction. Develops, documents and implements standards, guidelines, direction and education on process/procedures for staff. Assigned to highly visible, sensitive and critical systems. Requires an extensive knowledge of TCP/IP networks including layer two and layer three switching, network based server load balancing, routing protocols, and LAN/WAN technologies. Typically requires seven to ten years of experience performing hands on network services infrastructure engineering, diagnosing and correcting network problems and network equipment installation and configuration.
