SOW:
Installs. deinstall and maintains various components of the communications network including butnot limited to fixed wireless networks, central office switching, circuit/transmission, radio, buried cable, DS1, DS3, land/building and ISP facilities (routers, firewalls, switches, servers, modems, PC’s, etc.). Responsible for deinstalling and packing of old routers and installing new service to and within the customer premise and diagnosing and repairing problems within the network. Able to climb ladders, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in inclement weather.
Additional Duties Include but not limited to the following:
•Provides on-call support and respond to service-affecting outages and emergency situations.
•Coordinates with other departments on service deinstallations.
•Provides customer service and support by sharing technical knowledge and expertise, answering questions and consulting with customers.
•Establishes and maintains effective communication with staff and maintains relationships with external entities.
Position Requirements:
•Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills
•Self-Motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision.
•Familiar with Point to Point and Point to Multipoint Wireless network design, Installation, de-installation and Maintenance of Network Equipment.
•Familiar with Skill Set in LAN/WAN/POE Applications.
