Paid Media Specialist

Job Summary

With guidance from the Social Media Manager, the Paid Media Specialist works closely with department leads to support all paid digital marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness, generate leads and drive traffic to websites. The individual should possess a strong grasp of the primary online marketing strategies, such as Paid Search, Display, Social Media Platforms, content marketing, targeting and retargeting. This position will work with the digital marketing group and marketing teams to execute paid search, display and social advertising strategies across multiple B2C and B2B brands.

This includes keyword research and management, ad copy and extension creation, campaign implementation, bid and budget management, landing page performance analysis, tag implementation and campaign reporting.

The Paid Media Specialist will be integral in the development and management of effective digital strategy and media buying and will work with the marketing team to brainstorm and create paid media initiatives to promote the Hay House brand, authors and products and grow the assigned social channels.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Manage daily execution of digital media paid search campaigns (PPC/PPL/SEM)

Manage digital media paid search campaigns and paid social campaigns to weekly and monthly budget goals

Analyze performance data, provide reports, and appropriate action plans.

Collaborate within the department on research, campaign creation, and optimization efforts

Manage internet marketing and advertising on Facebook, Instagram and AdWords including ad placements and evaluation/analysisof online advertising opportunities

Monitor and optimize campaigns daily to meet company ROI goals

Run SEM campaigns in Google AdWords and Bing Ads

Participate in special projects or other duties, as assigned

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

Advanced knowledge of social media best practices

Advanced experience with Facebook Business Manager, Ad Manager

Experience with implementing and troubleshooting Facebook Pixels

Exceptional knowledge of building and creating Facebook audiences

Working knowledge of Google Analytics campaign tracking, Google Tag Manager, Asana, Slack, and Sprout Social, strongly preferred

Knowledge of all paid media channels advance targeting capabilities and best practices

Expert experience managing multiple paid media campaigns simultaneously with large budgets across multiple platforms

Technical proficiency for use of the personal computer, Microsoft Excel and Word; basic Photoshop/design software skills a plus

Results-oriented, self-motivated, creative, innovative, and organized with high attention-to-detail

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

Must have strong problem-solving skills, analytical skills, and writing skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Education and/or Experience

2+ years of paid media experience with brand-related social media marketing within relevant social media channels, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Pinterest, etc

Experience and proficiency in Google Analytics and Google AdWords

Google Analytics Certification is a plus

Theoretical knowledge typically achieved through a related two-year college experience, such as an Associate degree in marketing or equivalent

Experience driving business results through social media campaigns and paid/promoted posts
