Position Summary

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an individual with clinical and research interests in childhood cancer or benign hematology for a fixed term, open rank faculty position in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Rank and amount of protected time will be determined at a level commensurate with the applicants experience and accomplishments. Clinical duties include inpatient and outpatient care, participation in clinical trials and the teaching of fellows, residents and medical students in a childrens hospital and comprehensive cancer center setting. Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is required. Additional Training in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant preferred but not required.

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers an exceptionally collaborative environment with a strong clinical program in both hematology and oncology. In addition there are strong basic and translational research programs. The Division currently includes 14 physicians and 8 nurse practitioners. Divisional interests include solid tumors, neuro-oncology, childhood cancer survivorship, stem cell transplantation, T- Cell, sickle cell anemia and thrombosis and hemostasis.


Educational Requirements

MD, board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is required.


Qualifications and Experience

Board eligibility or certification in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology is required. Additional Training in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant preferred but not required.
