We are seeking self-motivated architects, engineers, product owners, and strategists, who are obsessed with delivering value, are forward-thinking, and excited to see the successful implementation of the products they deliver. Our current opportunities are available in Boston and Toronto.

As the Principal Enterprise Architect, you will:

  • Drive the articulation and ongoing refinement of the firms target architecture in support of our digital and technology ambitions and in alignment with changing customer and business needs
  • Maintain an enterprise view on the development of an architectural research agenda, nurturing experimentation in collaboration with architects and engineers across the firm and with strategic partners, in order to bring clarity to emerging whitespace
  • Partner with technical product and engineering leaders to support the evolution of our enterprise development platform as an accelerator of our target architecture
  • Support a consumable architecture, providing structure to the documentation of architectural and engineering patterns, solution designs, and technical roadmaps

You will bring and continuously build upon the following skills:

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working within a rapidly changing startup environment; you love the challenge of working on a small team and being part of a larger movement to change the engineering culture of an enterprise

  • Familiarity with digital platform and cloud-native software architectural design, especially in the areas of financial advice, health, wealth and asset management, and/or insurance

  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively articulate and communicate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes across all levels in the organization

  • Experimenting with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next

  • Mentoring architects and a passion for building an influence network across the organization

  • A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvement

  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities that enable you to manage through creative abrasion

  • Languages such as Java, JavaScript, .NET, HTML5, CSS3, Swift and/or similar technologies
