Process Development Associate I - Genomics Platform

In support of continually changing initiatives, the Process Development Associate I is committed to developing innovative research processes and pursuing the highest quality research to realize the full promise of genomic medicine. Will work to ensure production goals and requirements are met; improve existing protocols through detailed statistical analysis and research observations; investigate alternative solutions and troubleshoot processes as needed; and work to improve upon current workflow processes in creative and effective ways. Works to ensure production goals and requirements are met; improves existing protocols through detailed research observations and troubleshooting and works to improve upon current workflow processes in creative and effective ways through the use of appropriate process improvement methods and initiatives, such as Six Sigma, A3 problem solving, Visual Management and Dynamic Work Design.

Requirements:

BS degree in Biology or related discipline required

Working, solid knowledge of primary science and engineering principles required.

Familiarity with Design of Experiments and the Scientific Method required.

Experience in a research laboratory and standard lab equipment required; experience with automation preferred.

Strong analytical skills, problem solving ability, and innovation aptitude required.

Some experience with statistical analysis preferred.

Working knowledge of computers, databases, and working in a Windows/Mac environment required.

Must have strong attention to detail, the ability and multi-task and strong organizational skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to effectively work as part of a team required.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Must thrive in fast-paced environment.
