Project Analyst, Mid

Booz Allen Hamilton – Lorton, VA

Key Role:

Apply acquisition, project management, and financial management expertise to advise and assist the government with acquisition planning, execution, and management of contract and intergovernmental actions. Apply knowledge of the defense acquisition process to support clients in the analysis and improvement of acquisition process, policy, and procedures related to the Cooperative Threat Reduction (CTR) program. Devise innovative strategies for deploying and implementing new acquisition policy initiatives and measuring the effectiveness of implementation. Use quantitative analytical techniques to assess system acquisition process issues and develop risk reduction or mitigation approaches for improving acquisition or program planning, control, and execution through the full acquisition life cycle.

Basic Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a professional work environment
  • 3+ years of experience with acquisition processes and programs
  • Experience with the complete Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and DoD 5000 series regulations and laws, executive orders, statutes, policies, principles of acquisition planning, and other requirements necessary to accomplish assigned duties
  • Ability to be a self-starter and prioritize multiple tasks independently or as an integrated member of a larger project team
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience with project or financial management
  • Experience with working on CWMD non-proliferation issues
  • Experience with preparing briefings and reports appropriate for senior government executives
  • Experience with assisting project teams with developing acquisition documentation per client acquisition policy
  • Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level I or Level II in Contracts or Program Management, or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
