As the hydrocarbon industry rebounds and as our customers figure out how to operate in this economy, WorleyParsons finds itself in the position of seeing increased bidding activity and projects that were pushed to the right resurfacing. With this upsurge in activity, we once again need to hire key individuals that can join forces with current employees and lead these projects from FEED through successful EPC execution. Right now we are looking to fill our ranks with leadership positions in our Major Projects group to work on the largest and most complex projects.
We need immediate help responding to our customers desire for us to plan and re-plan the execution of their project. These projects are located on virtually every continent and require those leaders with major project skills and experience.
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Contracts Manager with experience in petrochemicals, greenfield, and major projects experience.
Project Contracts Manager
Completes contract assignments for all phases of contractual undertakings. Typically handles the smaller and less complex contracts. Understands and applies a thorough knowledge of the principles governing the business terms and conditions of contracts being negotiated.
Identify, solicit and select reliable contractors to supply consultant, speciality and construction services to support project execution. Negotiate terms & conditions, prepare contracts, monitor contractor performance and delivery of services to meet objectives. Provide agreed approvals and supporting documentation for payment of invoices to ensure the required services to WorleyParsons and its clients.
Operational managers utilizing in-depth knowledge, advanced problem solving skills and an awareness of WorleyParsons priorities to translate strategic direction into tactical plans and implementation activities. Guided by functional practices, management precedents, and professional standards. Decisions are typically of a tactical variety. Able to develop conclusions from analyses and apply results to WorleyParsons business operations. Decisions are typically based on extensive business acumen and seasoning.
Manages smaller but more complex, single function department. Responsible for the daily administration of company policies and processes in order for the functional group to meet business objectives.
Works with self-initiated interaction with supervisor and self-initiated technical guidance. Influence over duties. Work is assigned only in terms of broad objectives to be accomplished, and is reviewed for policy, soundness of approach and general effectiveness. Work is reviewed to ensure conformity with policy and for coordination of other company departments.
Manages and directs work directly or through supervisors or professionals leading others.
Effectively communicate and take a leadership role in preparing and presenting proposals and reports to staff and management. Ability to persuade and influence others. Ability to recognize and resolve conflict.
Advanced understanding of systems, processes and tools related to field. Able to assist others and troubleshoot issues. May be involved in the development of new systems, processes and tools.
University Degree, or equivalent, in related field or applicable discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Typically 10+ years relevant experience and 3+ years supervisory and/or management experience. Typically possesses expert knowledge of at least one functional area, with general knowledge of other related functions.
