Project Coordinator

Position Summary

The SSCB Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for a number of new product development projects and needs a capable project coordinator professional to support the PMO organization.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following key activities:

  • Maintain project documentation in accordance with the companys Common Product Development (CPD) and SAP processes.

  • Update and maintain the SSC business online information workbooks and report repositories.

  • Support and manage project financial data collection, analysis, and reporting for expenses and capital.

  • Execute SAP transactions for shipping, supply chain processes, and project status reporting.

  • Interface and coordinate with PMO for implementation of project controls and standards.

  • Organize and publish project metrics.

  • You will support project teams comprised of cross-functional resources for the development and implementation of new product design, manufacturing, and marketing strategies associated with new products, factored products, continuation projects, and new business development activities.


  • Ability to make appropriate use of oral and written communications, as well as effectively cooperate and negotiate with diverse individuals and groups.

  • Ability to engage in cooperative and responsible behaviors which affects the operation of the PMO department and company in a positive manner.

  • Business:

  • Ensure a thorough understanding of all relevant company policies and procedures. Appropriately apply policies and procedures in compliance with government laws, Standards of Business Conduct, Intellectual Property, security, ISO 9000, and government regulations (e.g. heath, safety, quality, and environmental).

  • Qualifications

    Basic Qualifications

  • High School degree or GED

  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree.
  • A minimum of two years in a business environment with a structured project environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as SAP for document management and financial reporting.

  • Experience with Microsoft Visio and Microsoft Project applications for graphic and schedule development is desired.

  • Experience with stage-gate methodologies and new product development processes.

  • Knowledge and experience with project portfolio management processes and tools.

  • Experience with an email, calendar, messaging system such as Microsoft Outlook and Skype, and use of information collaboration software such as Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (PPT) applications.
