Responsible for the overall construction of interior and exterior projects assigned. The
successful candidate must possess the knowledge, experience and confidence to engage
and professionally interact with the design professionals, consultants and client(s). He(she)
must be able to successfully lead Support Carpenters and other construction related
personnel in planning, coordinating and wisely executing the work in accordance with the
contract documents, schedule and budget.

- CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Oversee from beginning to end residential construction, including framing, remodeling
existing construction, roofing and skylights, siding, door and window installation,
insulation, drywall, flooring and tile, cabinetry, and precision trim installation
o Lead and direct a crew of up to four carpenters
o Build additions/remodels directly from blue-print designs
o Utilize blueprints and complete projects with hand, power and air tools associated with
o General knowledge of masonry, plumbing, heating, and electrical systems
o Responsible for managing materials, maximizing resources, and managing work flow.
o Manage projects to ensure deliverables are met on time and on budget.
o Establish relationships and manage conflict resolution with all involved parties during

o Must have 5 years of full time, verifiable experience with a working knowledge of all
facets of remodeling (residential and light commercial). Your job will include:
Performing layout based upon plans and specifications provided to you
Supervising our Lead and Support Carpenters, as well as our subcontractors
Managing our clients on the jobs you are assigned to
o First Aid and CPR Certification. If you dont have current certification you will have 1
month to obtain this at your own cost. Once this initial certification expires, we will pay
for recertification (both the tuition and your time) but only the 1st Aid component
needs to be renewed; the CPR recertification is suggested but not required.
o Good supervisory skills

o Computer experience: fluency with mainstream software that performs scheduling,

loss of any productive work time, we do a random drawing and award the winner

period. For example, if there was a field crew of 8 people working that month, the
gift certificate would be for $80.
o SIMPLE IRA
You are to participate in the plan if you have earned at least $5,000 during the last
calendar year and are expected to earn at least $5,000 during this calendar year.
You may elect to defer up to $12,500 annually. You may alter the amount of your
contribution every January 1 and July 1 after you initiate your Simple IRA. A-1
Builders will match 3% of your contribution dollar for dollar, but our contribution will
not exceed 3% of your compensation. This contribution may be reduced to a level
below 3% - but not below 1% - in two out of every five years.

All full-time employees, (working 32hr or more), are eligible for covered under A-1
Builders A WOCs Regence medical plan the 1st day of the month after their 60
days. Employee may opt out if they can prove medical coverage through an
eligible partners medical plan. A waiver form is required for opting out. If you are
eligible to opt out, you will receive a compensation for the amount A-1 WOC pays
for your medical and dental premiums, less tax.
Bereavement leave is offered to fulltime employees. In case of death in the immediate
family, an employee will, on request, be granted leave of absence with pay for a
maximum of three working days per incident. Immediate family shall include any of
the following persons: Father, mother, sibling or step sibling, child, step child, spouse,
parent in-law, or domestic partner.
