PT Student Conduct Coordinator

This is a 10-month position with a typical start date of July 15th and end date of May 31st. This term may be extended by written notification to you or ended at the Universitys discretion. The position reports to the Assistant Director for Conduct and Community Standards and will provide administrative and developmental support to student conduct and community standards. Pace University is looking for a highly motivated professional beginning their career into Student Affairs, or related fields, to fill our Student Conduct and Community Standards position. This is a very engaging and exciting position that will offer a great deal of experience to a professional who is ready to join our team. Position Duties
  • Adjudicate alleged student conduct violations for resident students.
  • Track and manage the completion of educational student conduct sanction compliance with the use of Simplicity student conduct software.
  • Facilitate educational sanctions through small group programming.
  • Assist in the overall assessment of the student conduct process.
  • This is a part-time live-in position which requires regular evening and weekend hours. This position will share a duty rotation as a first level response professional staff member on duty during which they will be expected to respond on a 24-hour basis.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and protect the confidence of residents and colleagues.
  • Other administrative duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree required, matriculating graduate student in student affairs program preferred, and one academic year experience in Student Affairs or related field.
  • Must have demonstrated experience with student and community development, supervision, and crisis management.
  • Applicants should possess a commitment and ability to create communities that are inclusive of diverse populations.
  • Start and end dates vary based on the academic year; the typical start date is July 15th with the typical end date of May 31st.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; strong computer skills.
  • Must be able to perform emergency and evacuation, which require the use of stairs. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent decision making and judgment and will be a positive member of a larger housing staff team.
  • Must be highly committed to student service and development.
  • This is a live-in position which requires evening commitments.
  • Familiarity with mainstream social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and WordPress.
  • Experience with Microsoft applications, basic photo-editing software, and Internet browsers.

Work Hours

This is a part-time live-in position which requires regular evening and weekend hours, 20 hours a week.

This position will share a duty rotation as a first level response professional staff member on duty during which they will be expected to respond on a 24-hour basis.
