Job Responsibilities
Code, script and automate using Python, as well as modify existing code as needed. Work on data retrieval, processing, validation and modeling.
Scraping of data from various formats (HTML, pdf, API, etc.) and data sources/inputs using Python Assist with the full software development life cycle (requirements analysis, design, development, unit testing, deployment, and maintenance).
Ability to communicate, obtain requirements, find solutions and implement them in a clean and concise way. Document all programming tasks, procedures, and troubleshooting scenarios.
Work directly with end users to resolve ambiguities in requirements and to troubleshoot issues.
Assist with unit testing, monitoring and ensuring overall product quality.
Work as part of a team running/supporting/developing production trading and risk monitoring applications, defining needs for operational tool development, overseeing daily reconciliation processes, and continuing to evolve robust operational processes.
Provide development time estimates and be able to consistently deliver on-time, high-quality code. Work with third parties we connect to (data feeds, counterparties, service providers) handling updates and any issues that occur.
Implement new product features, as well as enhance and maintain existing functionality by monitoring solutions and performance characteristics.
Become intimately familiar with our custom applications and processes and understand not only how the applications work, but their technical and data dependencies and how the application is leveraged by the end users.
Successfully integrate data between various systems. Good understanding of backend and server-side components.
