VOLT is seeking candidates for “Quality Assurance Engineer” role for our client located in Hillsboro, OR. This candidate will be responsible for testing and analyzing tasks on the overall architecture of hardware, software, and networking systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement, and maintain test plans and procedures for system integration. Perform usability testing for total system performance, reliability, scalability, and security. Maintain a record of test progress and test results.
Test business applications following detailed test cases and scripts to identify software defects through manual or automated tests.
Identify, investigate, report and track defects to resolution. Participate in design and technical discussions.
Provide clear and concise status back to project team and department management.
Provide input to Test Approaches, Test Plans and Release Findings according to department standards.
Ensure effective and continuous communication (both written and oral) takes place between QA and other departments.
Ensure accurate, timely and tested releases are implemented into the production environment.
Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
1 – 3 years financial or banking experience.
Experience working with technology teams in a testing role and testing methodologies.
Team Foundation Server (TFS) (or other source control), Selenium, Basic SQL.
Experience with API/Web Services testing.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently.
Ability to quickly learn new business applications.
