DESCRIPTION Loc Performance Products; Michigan's premiere full service manufacturer of large CNC machined components and assemblies for military and commercial applications. Loc Performance is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Quality Manager to join our Quality department! The Quality Manager is responsible for maintaining and continually improving an effective quality system to achieve optimal levels of safety, quality, delivery and cost and ensure internal and external customer satisfaction. DUTIES Provide key input into the development of the facilitys strategic business plan along with identifying and tracking key metrics to support the business plan goals. Utilize Key Performance Indicators to effectively track, monitor, and implement required corrective/improvement activities related to business plan, goals, issues, etc. Maintain and continually improve a quality system to prevent defects and exceed customer expectations. Manage and drive the Corrective/Preventive Action process. Ensure that Procedures and Work Instructions properly communicated. Manage the participation of the Quality Department in the Advanced Product Quality Planning process (APQP, Control Plans, Capability Studies, PPAP, etc.) Represent the company during customer visits and surveys, and during meetings and presentations at the customers location. Assure the correct use of inspection equipment and data gathering / analysis, and whenever possible utilize latest technology applications. Maintain a current knowledge of quality assurance and control techniques. Ensure accountability and discipline within the department. Assist as required in facility activities to achieve quality, productivity and cost reduction goals for the facility and the customer. Comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in the performance of daily activities and hold all direct reports accountable for enforcement. Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ex. Employee Handbook etc.) Support the Companys mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities. Responsible for performance feedback and leadership of all direct reports including mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective action when situations dictate. Provide direction and leadership to department employees consistent with facility business plan goals. Oversee department manning levels and assure compliance and improvements to the budget. Responsible for ensuring the entire team has the necessary tools and materials to properly perform their roles safely and efficiently. Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization. QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience Bachelors degree in engineering, management or business. Minimum 8 years experience as a quality assurance engineer, manager or equivalent experience and 2 years management experience, or equal combination of education and experience. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
