Quality Manager - Automotive

Fukai Toyotetsu Indiana Corporation – Jamestown, IN

Fukai Indiana Corporation (FTIC) is seeking a Quality Manager to manage and further develop the quality department, training, and processes at our Jamestown location.

About FTIC: We are a full-service, growing supplier manufacturer of essential car components, with capabilities in stamping and welding with the ability to make an impact in part and process optimization for our major OEM customer.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Formulate and maintain quality assurance objectives complementary to company policies and goals.
  • Conduct quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements.
  • Analyze data to evaluate the current process and process changes.
  • Decision-maker of accepting a product and/or continuing business with a vendor based on data collected.
  • Review data obtained during quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
  • Communicate and collaborate with management team regarding significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
  • Prepare and present technical and program information to the management team and/or customer.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.
  • Investigate and address customer complaints regarding quality.
  • Provide assistance to team members in solving problems/concerns that affect their performance.
  • Must display competencies in:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Proficient personal computer and system software skills.
  • Technical knowledge in product design functions, and manufacturing inspection processes.
  • Leadership (setting pace, decisiveness, ability to influence, organizational awareness).
  • Interpersonal skills (relationship building, teamwork, interpersonal insight, conflict resolution, customer orientation).
  • Communication (verbal communication, persuasive impact, listening, written communication).
  • Judgment and thinking (strategic thinking, original thinking, judgment and decision-making, problem solving, awareness).
  • Performance skills (accuracy with detail, planning and organizing, efficiency, business acumen).
  • Education and experience preferred:

    Five (5) + years of quality leadership experience (preferred in automotive) and three (3)+ years of supervisor experience and bachelors degree preferred. High school diploma or G.E.D. required, Equivalent combination of education and experience can be used to meet education and experience requirements.
