Job Summary:

Responsible for end-to-end management and maintenance of rate systems and structures, prioritization and management of rate change request/project load, and communication of timelines to various key stakeholders (Client Relations, Risk/Actuarial, and Executive Team).


Minimum of Bachelors degree in Decision Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, or other related field of study. Minimum five years of experience in rating/pricing system management, analytics, data analysis, data quality, database design, or other related field. Experience in automotive, retail, insurance, or big data preferred but not required. Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred but not required.


  • Power user of SQL (analysis using subqueries, stored procedures, temp tables/views, and other elements to efficiently identify root causes of issues and develop fixes).
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced functions/formulas and ability to use them creatively to process, organize, and analyze data).
  • Excellent critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Superior verbal/written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Past experience supporting/interfacing with clients and account teams preferred.


  • Own the process of compiling and translating rates into formats that can be uploaded into our systems.
  • Ensure realization of full economics of program changes.
  • Function as enterprise-level point of contact regarding pricing requests, coordinating prioritization efforts across client account teams, Risk/Actuarial, and Executive Team.
  • Communicate clear timelines/ETAs to client account teams based on request size/scope/complexity and resource availability.
  • Partner closely with Risk/Actuarial team to validate rate schedules, using advanced Excel formulas and SQL to conduct UAT where possible.
  • Partner with IT in design and development of new systems/utilities to efficiently execute/implement changes.
  • Documentation of current process flows for all change types, identifying and acting on opportunities to enhance/streamline.
  • Establish standards for requirements-gathering, setting ground rules and expectations for completeness of pricing change requests.
