The candidate must possess outstanding telephone skills, strong computer skills; working with parents, students, faculty and the public. Flexibility with a variety of tasks and the ability to support the schools calendar and events is a requisite in the candidate. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel are required experience using Google Environment is preferred.
Primary responsibility is receptionist of Wellesley High School during peak school hours. The position will require interacting with parents, students, staff, and vendors. Other duties include answering the telephone, answering/opening of the locked front door, signing in and directing visitors to the school. The candidate will also be responsible for assisting the high school in email communications home to families for outstanding financial obligations, purchase orders communication to the business office and support of the Principals secretary and office needs.

Answer the phone and direct visitors to the appropriate location-Use the intercom-Perform clerical duties and assist where needed or requestedCore Values and Professional Qualities-Respond to all stakeholders in a prompt, efficient, friendly and patient manner-Function as a team member-Be responsible, reliable and punctual-Be flexible and adaptable to change-Positively accepting direction-Establish and maintain courteous, cooperative working relationships with students, staff, and parents-Exercise positive problem-solving behavior and resolution skills-Adhere to a dress code appropriate to the job-Be a role model for the student-Work with a large cross-section of people in a professional and nonjudgemental mannerWork year182 days2 days before school begins, 9:00 am-1:00 pm school days, except half days- flexible, schedule but 4 hours each day(11 days per school year)This position is supervised by the High School Principal and directly supports the Principals secretary.
