Regional Sales Analytics Manager

The primary responsibilities of this position are to lead regional sales analytics and cross functional projects. This role will have a team of analysts that will provide sales region analytics, scorecarding and reporting for 600 front line sales team members within 3 geographic regions. The Regional Sales Analytics Manager will also be responsible for leading cross functional sales projects with Information Technology, Finance and Sales. This manager will also support the questions for the sales team related to data, business issues and assistance with leveraging the suite of tools including a mobile dashboard and a data collection tool.

Principal Accountabilities

60% Analytics, Scorecards & Reporting Lead a team of region sales analysts to support the day to day informational needs of the sales team. The focus would be on DSMPs (Distribution, Service, Merchandising and Pricing) to provide insights that drive action to meet organizational goals. The manager would be the main contact for the sales team to prioritize the work from the sales regions to the regional analysts. This role would work to identify if requests are in existing tools or if additional reporting is needed. It is a role where there should be continuous improvement and streamlining. Information should be easy to understand and actionable with visualizations. There will also be ad-hoc analysis for key business inititatives.

20% Project Management Lead projects that streamline or implment new processes for sales. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, being held accountable to schedule of project delivery. Work with various areas of the organization including Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Information Technology and Marketing. Ensure that the project plan is created, there is proper communication and that resources are held accountable for work. Escalate if there are risks to timelines.

20% Front Line Sales Support: Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to information needed by the Field Sales team. Assist with the continuous improvement of the support process and provide insights as needed. Assist with testing new enhancements

Job Complexity

  • Provide reporting to field sales on key performance indicators including Sales, Service, Distribition, Stale and Promotions
  • Provide guidance and support to region analysts to hold regions to same reporting standards
  • Lead, coach and develop region analysts
  • Leverage existing or new metrics to provide insights into business opportunities. Communicate to all levels of the sales team.
  • Leverage large amounts of data from various technologies to build, maintain and disseminate reporting across regional support teams
  • Assist with enforcing best practice process through visibility in reporting
  • Lead projects to implement new processes within the organization
  • Troubleshoot process issues and determine new ways of working more efficiently
  • Streamline current process to enable more advanced analytical capabilities
  • Test new tools and data enhancement
  • Implement controls to ensure data accuracy.
  • Job Specifications

  • Bachelors degree in finance, analytics, data management or related field
  • Masters Degree in Business Administration preferred
  • 7+ years of Business Insights
  • Strong analytical skills including forward looking measures
  • Intellectually curious, quick learner and problem solver
  • Experience with a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) business model
  • Proficient in IRI data platforms
  • Experience leading analysts
  • Experience leading projects
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and Powerpoint
  • Experience with MicroStrategy, Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication and customer service interface skills
  • Tech-savy, Ability to quickly pick up new technologies tablet (iPad), Business Intelligence systems, Mobile applications
  • Experience developing reports and dashboards
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
