Relationship Manager - Retirement

What you ll do:

As a Relationship Manager in our Workplace Savings and Retirement Solutions (WSRS) Customer Care Service area, youll develop deep relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, trustees, and third party administrators that cover the Mid-Atlantic region. In this role you will be the strategic partner to our clients to provide solutions that meet business goals of retention, growth, and retirement readiness to name a few.

  • Consult with the plan sponsor and the advisor on plan design, investments, services and new opportunities.
  • Quarterly Plan level reviews.
  • Problem solving complex issues.

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent required and 2+ years professional work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills required.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical information to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and multi-tasking skills are required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Travel required. Daily travel (60 -70%), including overnight stays (5 - 10%).


  • Experience with Presentations.
  • Relationship management or client service skills.

Licensing will be required based on state/federal laws and/or company policy in accordance with current licensing policy.

  • Successful Registration as an Investment Company Products/Variable contracts Limited Representative (FINRA Series 6 or equivalent and FINRA Series 63) within 5 months of employment.
  • Successful Registration as an Uniform Investment Adviser (FINRA Series 65 or equivalent) within 6 months of employment.
  • Must become an associated person with Principal Securities.
  • Resident Life and Health appointment must be attained within 4 months of employment.

Job Level:

We are open to multiple levels of Relationship Manager based on experience.
