Research Technician

Brandeis University – Waltham, MA

The Ivanovic Laboratory at Brandeis University has an opportunity for a full-time Research Technician to join an interdisciplinary team of scientists. The lab investigates the molecular mechanisms of viral cell entry, including influenza virus and reovirus. With the focus on basic viral mechanisms, the lab seeks to understand how viral pandemics come about or how viruses evolve resistance against antivirals. The Research Technician will be involved in both research (including obtaining data for publication) and lab management activities. An ideal candidate will be self-motivated and on the path to obtaining a higher degree in science or medicine. The candidate must have excellent time-management and organizational skills and a strong motivation to learn new skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is a further must.


  • Bachelors degree in relevant sciences
  • At least one year of research experience in addition to laboratory coursework
  • Past experience with cell culture or basic molecular biology techniques is a plus
