Coopers Hawk Winery and Restaurants is opening its first location in Chicagos famed Gold Coast area this year and will be a tribute to the World of Wine.

Coopers Hawk is a lifestyle brand centered around wine and focused on creating memorable moments that enrich lives, such as, domestic and international travel opportunities, along with access to private Friends of Coopers Hawk events, hosted by luminaries in winemaking and food, including Gail Simmons, Fabio Viviani, Tyler Florence, Jean-Charles Boisset, Marcus Samuelsson, Todd Anderson and more.

Our Chicago location will open towards the end of 2019, and we are now hiring a key position for this restaurant given our vast amount of private event space: Senior Event Sales Manager. The Senior Event Sales Manager will be an integral part of our opening and building our private events business and clientele.

  • Manage and respond to inquiries daily, ensuring all inquiries are responded to same day
  • Manage event calendar and ensure private events are booked to maximum capacity in all rooms and maximum revenue is generated
  • Diligently keep contracts, BEOS and payments for all events managed, on time and organized
  • Respond to complaints or feedback and resolve issues in a way that ensures repeat guest visits and that every guest leaves happy
  • Maintain strong relationships with corporate, convention and wedding clients, planners and guests
  • Plan and execute new business outreach initiatives to build new clientele
  • Monthly management of budget and proactively ensuring that sales are at or exceeding budget goals.


  • Must have 7+ years of experience selling, booking, planning and executing events in high volume, upscale event department
  • Strong connections and experience in the local Chicago private event market
  • Regularly attend networking events and offsite events to create relationships and maintain brand awareness
  • Strong business development skills; ability to cold call and create new leads through outreach efforts; report results of outreach
  • Ability to see big picture and willingness to be hands-on and be involved in many key projects that impact the business; great communication skills and comfortable presenting to senior management teams

Based in Illinois, Coopers Hawk is a modern casual Napa-inspired full-service restaurant with a scratch kitchen, full bar, wine tasting room and winery-inspired private event space. With 35 locations in 9 states and 6 more to open in 2019, we plan to double our size in the next 5 years, and we re not stopping there. Our wine club is the largest in the country too, with nearly 400,000 members.
