Senior HRIS Analyst

DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW

Human Resources provides a broad array of services and programs that attract, develop, engage and retain the talented and diverse workforce that fulfills WGBHs mission to educate, inspire and entertain. HR partners with managers and employees across WGBH to ensure that all employees are treated with respect and dignity and can realize their potential. HRs core services include recruitment of a highly skilled and diverse workforce, the design and delivery of fair and competitive compensation and benefits programs, professional development programs that support the growth of all employees, and effective communication among WGBHs 800+ employees.

JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for leveraging technology to drive continuous improvement of processes and tools within all aspects of HR including, but not limited to workforce management, performance management, merit and bonus planning, benefits administration, compliance and reporting. Work closely with HR team members to define, analyze and document Workday HCM business processes and data management in order to optimize integration automation, efficiency and user experience. Responsible for ensuring HCM data integrity and maintenance. The Senior HR Analyst is also responsible for accurate reporting while demonstrating critical thinking, ability to analyze and translate large amounts of data, with the ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations to management. This role builds project plans, ensures adherence to project schedules, maintains a systems orientation and works effectively with others to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. The Senior HRIS analyst also supports system upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with other team members to manage the delivery of HR systems projects including configuration changes and functionality deployment (including simple configuration, testing, documentation, peer review, sign off, training, change management, etc.)
  • Recommends process and/or system improvements as they relate to the operation of Workday HCM modules. Communicates changes to HR employees as well as management and other employees as needed. Works with HR end users to inform and educate on enhancements and updates in Workday, including integration with other business applications/processes as appropriate. Creates, modifies, and maintains HR user documentation; assists in the creation and editing of employee-facing user documentation.
  • Ensures proper maintenance of system data for values, codes, tables, business processes, supervisory organizations, security and system interfaces.
  • Acts as HR lead resource, HRIS consultant and subject matter expert to functional users and other work management teams.
  • Research and resolve system problems, unexpected results or process flaws; perform scheduled activities, recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  • Facilitates needs analysis and change management for enhancements to current functionality and new modules. Creates and oversees project plans, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work; evaluating results; and adhering to time schedules. Ensures system quality and program standards meet objectives and desired results are achieved. Performs post-implementation evaluations in support of continuous process improvement.
  • Directs and participates in HRIS system testing and implementation of system enhancements. Responsibilities include test script development and execution, testing resources coordination and test completion metrics compilation.
  • Identifies HR end-user training needs and oversees the development, maintenance, and updates of HR-related procedures, guidelines, documentation, and training materials.
  • Develops and distributes a variety of reports and statistical summaries regarding employee data and related information. Works with HR management to identify standard and/or design custom reports, dashboards and analytics to identify trends and assist with decision making.
  • Responsible for compiling and submission of compliance-related reporting, including but not limited to EEO-1 and SAS CPB.
  • Serves as liaison with HR, Payroll, and IT on technical matters and system maintenance.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Five to seven years of experience in HRIS and Human Resources; demonstrated project management experience; WorkDay experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state regulations including ERISA, EEO, COBRA, FMLA and workers compensation, etc.
  • Advanced proficiency with HRIS software programs with strong understanding of HRIS database design, structure, data integrity, analytics and audit functions and processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.

EDUCATION

BA/BS, human resources, business, computer science, and/or related field; SHRM Certified Professional and/or Project Management Professional certification preferred.
