Server Basic Functions

Serves guests quickly, efficiently and with complete knowledge of food and beverage menus. Offers superior customer service and maintains stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout shift.

Essential Functions

  • Warmly greets guests upon arrival
  • Communicates with guests in a friendly, informative and effective manner and maintains a superior knowledge of all menu items
  • Accurately takes guests food and beverage orders
  • Relays guests requests by accurately using POS system
  • Sets tables with appropriate items for service
  • Ensures customer s satisfaction with menu items when received
  • Communicates effectively when dealing with customer complaints
  • Correctly and precisely calculates each guest check
  • Takes payment from guests and makes change when necessary
  • Busses tables quickly and efficiently
  • Assists other team members when called upon for help
  • Cleans stocks and maintains workstations throughout the shift
  • Follows all safety, sanitation and liquor service policies
  • Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time

Server Assistant Basic Functions

Quickly and efficiently brings food items from the kitchen to the guests while ensuring quality and accuracy of all items. Maintains a complete knowledge of food menus. Refills guest s waters and sodas, sets and clears tables and responds quickly and efficiently to server and bartender needs. Offers superior customer service to all guests and maintains stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout shift.

Essential Functions

  • Effectively communicates information between the front and back of house
  • Assures that food is cooked in the correct order and that all orders are presented to the guests at the same time
  • Assures a high quality of product on every plate and ensures that all kitchen orders are prepared according to the menu and customer specifications
  • Finalizes the presentation of the product with the correct garnishes, sauces and utensil placement
  • Prepares all side salads and soups and delivers in a timely manner. Times items to be presented as specified
  • Delivers food to the customer in the order that the ticket was printed
  • When presenting food to the guest, ensures that each guest has everything they need to enjoy their meal. This may include silverware, napkins, sauces, drinks, etc.
  • Returns with any needed items quickly and efficiently. If a guest requires an item that they cannot provide, lets the correct server know of the need and assist in any way that they can to expedite its arrival to the table
  • Busses tables quickly and efficiently
  • Assists servers when called upon for help
  • Cleans stocks and maintains their workstation throughout the shift
  • Follows all safety and sanitation policies

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Salary: $12.00 /hour

Experience:

  • Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)

License:

  • Food Handler Certification (Required)
  • Bartender License (Required)
