Job Summary:

Software Engineer Lead- .NET C# will be subject matter expert for a specific team of Software Engineers and will manage direct reports. Also, will be tactical cum strategic focused as will write code across complex systems and applications and provides direction on project plans, schedules, methodologies

Responsibilities:

  • The initial point of escalation for software development issues within a specific area of responsibility
  • Interface with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements. And, write and review detailed specifications for the development of moderate to complex system components
  • Operate across various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with cross-functional and development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs; implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews; complete complex bug fixes; design and work with complex data models; and resolve complex technical issues as necessary
  • Mentor and/or train entry-level software engineers, including ensuring they are knowledgeable in critical aspects of their roles, and keep abreast of new technology developments for team
  • Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures, and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, directing work and providing resources and tools; appraising performance, providing feedback, coaching, rewarding and disciplining for the achievement of individual and team goals; addressing complaints and resolving problems; encourage new ideas from staff for improvements via innovation; empower staff to be accountable and responsible
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • 7+ years of Software Engineering .NET C# experience
  • 2+ years managing direct reports and serving as subject matter expert for Software Engineers
  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

Required Skills:

  • Skilled in software development methodologies (Agile, SDLC, etc.) and test-driven development
  • Experienced in resource models (Managed Services and/or Staff Augmentation) and strong knowledge in industry best practices around external resource development and development
  • Ability to lead and manage internal/external IT resources to solve complex business needs
  • Strong research skills with advanced proficiency in data manipulation language, including optimization techniques, and in normalized/dimensional data modeling principles
  • Ability to design and work with complex data models and multiple data storage subsystems
  • Expert in development languages including but not limited to C#, SQL, .Net Framework, WebAPI, Angular, VB.Net, JSON, C/C++, HTML, XML, Windows, UNIX, Kubernetes, Docker. Alongside, ability to use and develop toolsets and write and review detailed specs for development of complex system components
  • Strong skills in setting, communicating, implementing, and achieving business objectives and goals through the direct management of others. Alongside, strong organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments. Also, strong delegation skills involving prioritizing and re-prioritizing projects and managing projects of various size and complexity. And, strong problem-solving experience involving leading teams in identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to effectively troubleshoot/diagnose complex project issues; prior success extracting/translating findings into alternatives/solutions; and identifying risks/impacts and schedule adjustments to facilitate management decision-making
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and customer service skills. Alongside, strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including senior and executive management, customers, etc., including diction/terminology and presenting information in a concise and effective manner to clients, management, and various departments using assorted communication mediums.
