Job Summary

The Supply Chain Planner will oversee and manage the overall supply chain for their assigned brand. The planner will be actively involved in product development activities and resolve issues regarding existing and new products. The qualified candidate will be accountable for achieving prescribed company objectives in regard to cost, productivity, inventory turn and customer service (fill rate and on time delivery).

The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality as they will be communicating regularly to vendors and acting as a liaison between sales manager, marketing, warehouse, suppliers and in-house teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure product availability. Close coordination with factory and supplier to communicate and influence changes in priorities
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date and accurate forecasts based on historical data analysis and by incorporating demands from promotional lift and special events
  • Ensure inventory level are healthy. Create and implement project plans to liquidate old stock
  • Provide holistic aspect to overall supply chain
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to understand customer needs and translate customer requirements into supply chain strategies
  • Drive balancing demand vs. supply decisions, product allocations and coordinate resolution of major supply chain issues
  • Partner with Factory, Commercial, Quality and Project Management for continuous improvement of New Product Implementation (NPI) capability
  • Identify and prioritize customer centric end-to-end supply chain solutions, while simplifying and standardizing for impact
  • Improve overall supply network agility to increase our ability to respond to Customer needs in local markets. Ensures initiation of corrective actions with the functional organizations when performance varies to target
  • Support business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, new product launches, last time buy needs, phase-outs and distribution redesigns
  • Collaborate with the Functional Leads to drive change and new ways of thinking, introducing and leveraging best practices in the pursuit of end to end supply chain excellence
  • Create standard work/calendar, necessary training materials and training forums for WnW S&OP Key Stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree is required with preference in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum of four (4) years of Supply Chain experience required
  • Consumer goods industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical & communication skills required; Must have handled and processed large amount of data and analysis
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, complexity, be prepared to get involved with technical issues at a detailed level required
  • Superior proficiency in MS Excel, specifically pivot tables and/or vLookups required
  • Demonstrated strength with working in a project & cross-functional team environment and independently required
  • Strong verbal/written communication skills; possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; anticipates potential issues and resolves them
  • Capable to understand, react and resolve disruptions in the Supply Chain while maintaining a customer-focused perspective
  • Key skills in analyzing data and identifying areas for improvement while working across functions in creating the Supply plan
  • Self-motivated. Must be results-oriented and is able to independently create and deliver; with strong demonstration of ownership; quickly and willingly adapt to change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Exhibit strong entrepreneurial qualities to make business decisions, keeping overall interest of company in mind
  • Experience with any planning tool is preferred. Avercast experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in very fast paced consumer environment
  • High degree of maturity to work with expanded team supplier, factory, sales, purchasing and marketing
  • Working knowledge of Mandarin preferred.
  • This position will require up to 15% domestic and international travel
