Third Party Risk Management Coordinator

Amgen – Tampa, FL

The Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) Coordinator will join the Information Risk Management team within the Global Information Protection (GIP) organization and will be part of the team responsible for the evaluation and management of risk to Amgen information and related systems involving Third Party solutions and services. The TPRM Coordinator will collaborate with multi-functional team members at Amgen and Third Party Providers to coordinate Third Party Risk Management due diligence.

Additional responsibilities may include participating in process improvement activities, participating in special projects and other cyber security related activities.


Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and process third party assessment requests within defined service levels
  • Reviews assessment requests for completeness and accuracy and follows up with partners accordingly to ensure third party solution and services scope are clear and support accurate risk analysis
  • Interacts directly with analysts to ensure continuity of service
  • Requests additional documentation to support third party security control responses
  • Maintains complete and accurate records for third party services, dates of assessment, assessment results, associated risk, periodic review requirements and contact information
  • Monitors Partner communications and responds to TPRM-related questions as necessary
  • Coordinates assessment requirement communications with partners related to the vendor selection and vendor on-boarding processes to maintain compliance with defined policies and procedures
  • Maintains detailed records for all related activities
  • Recommends process improvements
  • Prepares and communicates bi-weekly status of vendor risk activities to management
  • Establishes and cultivates positive working interactions with partners and team with the intention to exceed their expectation
  • Generates innovative ideas and challenges the status quo
  • Advises management of critical issues that may affect customers, suppliers or company

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree
OR
Associates degree and 4 years of directly related experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 6 years of directly related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in IT or Computer Science
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Some technical knowledge, understanding of information security frameworks (i.e., NIST, ISO 2700x, etc.)
  • Ability to independently lead priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, global team environment
  • Project Management experience
  • Security+ Certification
  • Detail orientated
  • Seeks to Develop, implement, and sustain operational scripts, data structures, libraries and programming code that optimize security in emergent compute patterns with diverse applications throughout the global environment
  • Contributes to the analysis, design, development and operation of programs, shell scripts, tests, and infrastructure automation capabilities in an advanced security context
  • Collaborates multi-functionally with analysts, engineers, data scientists to achieve continuous improvement in cyber defense/resilience
