Training and Development Coordinator

At Home is a division of New York City Health and Hospitals which provides community-based health care services including: Health Home and Care Coordination, Certified Home Health Care (CHHA)/ Care Management, and Outreach/Engagement. We have over 400 clinical and non-clinical staff embedded throughout the NYC H+H enterprise who service over 9,000 patients located in group/private homes, as well as those without housing in the four boroughs of New York City.

Under the general supervision of the Senior Associate Director, Training Coordinator will prepare training coordination and provide research, technical, and administrative tasks for At Home Program.

The Training Coordinator will be responsible for all logistics and administrative support for the At Home Workforce Development team. The Training Coordinator will serve as the main point of contact for training programs, workshops, and other talent development related initiatives and will receive extensive opportunities to learn and take part in team-based projects. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Onboarding / New Employee Orientation

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Training Coordination and Strategy

  • Prepare for all scheduled workshops by securing classrooms, tracking attendance, printing/arranging/shipping program materials, ordering supplies, managing security protocols, ordering catering, registering for and distributing pre-work surveys materials, ensure proper room set-up, and sending participant and facilitator reminders.
  • Operate and maintain At Home outlook/ registration calendars post classes, send out invites, deploy waitlist communications.
  • Responsible for the inventory of Workforce Development equipment/and or learning materials.
  • Assist in program analysis and dashboard reporting for in-person and on-demand training programs and other special projects.
  • Support implementation of learning and development programs.

Remote Training Coordination

  • Serves as a liaison to ensure seamless logistics and a positive employee experience from training prep to training close.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of workshop materials
  • Allocate and generate the Sign- In attendance sheet

Onboarding / New Employee Orientation

  • Support the planning, organization, coordination, implementation of the agencys new employee orientation

Miscellaneous/Other

  • Attend regularly scheduled agency and department meetings
  • Continuously analyze work processes and make suggestions for improvement
  • Other functions, as necessary and as assigned by the Senior Associate Director and the Executive Director

Minimum Qualifications

  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Psychology, Personnel Administration, Business Administration, Management or related discipline; and
  • One year of experience in employee development and training program in a health care facility, business, educational, governmental organization or other field related to training, development and analysis, or training in implementation of operational or management systems; and
  • Knowledge of the principles of training , psychology of learning, applications and the ability to instruct and motivate; and
  • Ability to communicate orally and relate to others; and
  • Proficient writing and research skills; or
  • A satisfactory combination of education, training and experience indicating the ability to perform satisfactorily.
