The Vice President, Product Management for Sales Products, Service & CRM will create and execute the vision and strategy for the Sales Product and Service & CRM Business Lines. This role will lead product management for multiple Product Lines within this Business Line suite in a complex and multi-national environment to commercialize and advance best-in-class technology products. This position collaborates with engineering, strategy, product marketing, operations and support teams to build customer-focused solutions, develop strategic synergies, and optimize future development & innovation for multiple Product Lines.

The VP, Product Management is responsible for driving the vision and achieving commercial success of the execution by prioritizing projects that align with product roadmap and striking a balance between teams bandwidth and goals. As a senior leader, you will create visibility and influence strategic decisions for the Sales Products and Service & CRM solutions (comprised of CDK and non-CDK integrations). You will monitor and interpret trends that occur within the Business Line, competitor and industry segments, and make recommendations to executive management to deliver revenue growth and commercial success.

Position Responsibilities & Essential functions
  • Define & execute the strategic vision for comprehensive, best-in-class technology solutions.
  • Accountable for entire Business Line strategy and delivery evaluate product portfolio and establish short- and long-term priorities, design overall road map to turn strategy into commercial solutions.
  • Articulate market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape by assessing strengths and weaknesses.
  • Identify assumptions, dependencies, potential risks and create risk mitigation strategies.
  • Integrate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements and lead the development of new products to meet current and future customer requirements.
  • Drive Design Thinking processes to validate business value early and often.
  • Define success, metrics, and runway for the product monitor and analyze product performance, revenue and profitability, customer satisfaction, market share and potential, and other key metrics.
  • Manage key third-party relationships with OEMs, dealers, partners, and vendor
  • Build, lead and inspire product, development, and design teams to conceive and deliver products that are customer focused, and support ease of implementation and maintenance
  • Act as a thought leader & brand ambassador for CDK at industry events, conferences and other forums.
Qualifications & Job Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in business, computer science or related field, or ten (10) years equivalent experience in a software, systems, or e-commerce; Masters degree preferred.
  • Twelve (12) years progressive experience in leading product and development teams in a complex environment to create and commercialize compelling products and manage internal and external client expectations on requirements and deliverables.
  • Expert knowledge of modern product management concepts and techniques, including agile development methodologies.
  • Strong ability to think strategically & analytically to help solve complex business challenges under pressure.
  • Ability to navigate in a changing business landscape, creating and leading high-performing teams and inspiring others.
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to create and deliver professional and compelling presentations and materials that provide relevant business insights and that are consumable by executive decision makers.
  • Proven track record of leading and driving results with off-shore development teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to exert influence, and make and meet commitments in a highly-matrixed organization.
  • Must be able to travel 25% of time.
