THE THIRD FLOOR (TTF) is the world’s preeminent Visualization Studio, known for designing tentpole feature films, television series, video games, virtual reality and theme park attractions. A-list creators seek out TTF to support their productions wherever they want to create them, so now TTF is expanding its global presence to establish the first truly professional visualization team in China.
To accomplish this, TTF is recruiting the best and brightest talent from all over the world to participate in one of our most exciting endeavors to date! Selected individuals will be professionally trained at our Los Angeles headquarters for 10 weeks, with a multitude of perks, and in a fun and supportive environment.
We are gathering interest and seeking suitable candidates in a variety of roles. If you are bilingual in English and Mandarin, love cinematic storytelling, and want to be at the nexus of the entertainment revolution in China, this could be the greatest next step in your career!
Here are the specific positions we are recruiting for:
Previs Shot Creators: A Previs Shot Creator creates and arranges digital elements, animates them, and “films” them with virtual cameras to create cinematic sequences that represent the creative blueprint. Nearly any aspect of a shot can be tweaked instantly to improve the composition and the timing of the action. Working with the Previs Supervisor, Shot Creators produce previs shots and sequences that help to support the director's vision via appropriate use of camera movement, lenses, composition, staging, lighting and editing.
Previs Asset Builders/Modelers: CG assets are built quickly and must be highly optimized for real-time workflow in Maya. Our Previs Modelers must be able to take artistic direction from a wide spectrum of sources to produce environments, props and characters that best represent the director's vision. The ideal Previs Modeler has a strong sense of design and is comfortable filling in the gaps of available information to ensure each asset looks its best. Strong Knowledge of efficient, low-polygon modeling is a must, and good knowledge of real-time OpenGL techniques for lighting and effects is a plus.
Coordinators: The Previs Coordinator is central to previs project management. They liaise with all aspects of production as well as help strategize and implement tasks and targets crucial to the delivery of each project on time and on budget.
Supervisors: The Previs Supervisor is responsible for the creative direction of live-action / computer generated films, theme park experiences, television shows and commercials. They are the key point of contact with the creative leads on the client side, and work in close collaboration with the Director and Producers. Previs Supervisors task their team with shots to produce and conduct efficient reviews of artists' work in progress. They have sole responsibility for internal sign off on the 'final' versions of shots that are submitted to clients. Supervisors collaborate with high-profile directors, editors and VFX supervisors and must be highly creative, adaptable, and prepared to implement changes on the fly!
Technical Translators and Documentarians: If you love helping people connect through language in both spoken and written forms, and creating highly organized documents to support future training, this is the position for you.
Office Assistant: The Assistant will support key executives in business development, perform general administrative duties, and will gather research while gaining exposure to the entertainment industry.
