Job Description :

We are looking for talented AWS Operations Engineers to:

• Help us conduct - and make more effective - our operations program for our AWS deployments
• Expand and strengthen our cloud deployment security program
• Expand our cloud deployments’ build, deployment, and configuration pipelines
• Build out and improve our information system monitoring
• Continuously research, understand, and evaluate tradeoffs in emerging operations cloud infrastructure and automation technologies
• Establish and implement good full life cycle development and deployment practices of our deployments; including the identification of tools, establishment of best practices, and cloud maintenance

Skills & Requirements

Must haves

• AWS
• EC2 (including instances and networking)
• VPC
• IAM
• S3
• Load Balancers
• EBS
• Database administration (index rebuilds, perf monitoring and profiling, log shipping and the like)
• A real passion for solving problems in healthcare
• A willingness and ability to actively help define the scope of our work
• The ability and interest to learn many different things - and teach others
• Strategic thinking - in terms of helping us be competitive in the marketplace, yes - but more importantly, strategic in helping us deliver on our mission of creating better patient outcomes. We're serious about this.

Nice-to-haves

• Powershell
• Active Directory
• Clinical IT expertise (e.g. HL7, CCDAs, FHIR etc.)
• Interest in and ability to interact with clients as design partners

 

About CareEvolution

CareEvolution is an Ann Arbor, Michigan-based provider of Health Information Exchange (HIE) software platforms and applications. Our software allows healthcare providers and patients to make better decisions faster. We're looking for talented folks to join our team in solving some of the most difficult problems in HIE.

CareEvolution's platform is in active use at various US statewide exchanges, large public and private exchanges, health plan exchanges, and exchanges used by the Federal Government.

Our team is quite small, but all of us are technical. We maintain a strong start-up/hacker culture. Our platform is recognized by leading HIE industry analysts as the most technologically sophisticated HIE on the market.

We are focused and execute very quickly. But we also have a lot of fun - including hackathons every eight weeks, biannual company-wide get-togethers, board game nights, etc.
