BACKUP / Storage Architect (Back-up as a Service (BaaS))

Roles & Skillset Depiction:

• This specialty concentrates on the assessment and design of infrastructures using Backup as a Service solution to support the applications, data, and business processes resiliency objectives.
• Included in the focus areas are the critical evaluation and selection of the software and hardware components of the infrastructure to meet client availability, recovery, continuity, and resilient business objectives.
• Best practices in this specialty use various techniques including architectural patterns, modeling, simulation, and testing to validate the designs and selected products. Infrastructure Architects are responsible for the performance, availability, and scalability of the infrastructure.
• Additionally, Architects in this role provide IBM Resiliency Services Practice leadership in IBM by participating in or leading Backup as a Service improvement project.
• This role concentrates on the design of infrastructures including servers, storage, workstations, middleware, non-application software, networks, and the physical facilities that support the applications and business processes required by the client.
