Job Title: BACKUP / Storage  Architect (Back-up as a Service (BaaS))

Location: 100% Remote

 

Job Description:

  • This specialty concentrates on the assessment and design of infrastructures using Backup as a Service solutions to support the applications, data, and business processes resiliency objectives.
  • Included in the focus areas are the critical evaluation and selection of the software and hardware components of the infrastructure to meet client availability, recovery, continuity and resilient business objectives.
  • Best practices in this specialty use various techniques including architectural patterns, modeling, simulation, and testing to validate the designs and selected products. Infrastructure Architects are responsible for performance, availability and scalability of the infrastructure.
  • Additionally, Architects in this role provide IBM Resiliency Services Practice leadership in IBM by participating in or leading Backup as a Service improvement projects.
  • This role concentrates on the design of infrastructures including servers, storage, workstations, middleware, non-application software, networks, and the physical facilities that support the applications and business processes required by the client.
  • Included in the focus areas is the critical evaluation and selection of the software and hardware components of the infrastructure.
  • Best practices in this role use various techniques including modeling, simulation, and testing to validate the designs and selected products.
  • Infrastructure Architects are responsible for performance, availability and scalability of the infrastructure.
