Cabinet Maker/Millworker

Job Description :Experienced Millworker and Cabinet Makers required immediately. We are seeking experienced, reliable, organized, millworkers and cabinet makers for our busy and growing shop located in the Bronx, NY area. Candidates must be able to handle all aspects of custom millwork production per shop standards and be experienced with key shop equipment. Must have reliable means of transportation to the Bronx. Responsibilities and Duties: Interpret and read architectural and shop drawings Construct cabinetry and furniture to shop drawings details at a high-quality standard. Use of various millwork machinery including table saws, panel saw, edgebander, etc. Work closely with supervisors to expedite workflow. Perform other reasonably related duties as assigned by management.   Minimum 2+ years experience in architectural millwork and/or cabinetry. Must be able to work accurately and independently from shop drawings. Knowledge of various wood species, materials and characteristics.  Knowledge of various woodworking machinery and safety measures. Able to accurately read tape measure. Experienced in machine set up and use in a safe manner. Perform to a consistent high standard. Able to life and carry significant weights. Able to complete an 8 hour work day. Hand tools and cordless drills required.
