- Strong working knowledge and skills in Incident/Problem/Change management disciplines;
- Security management; Service Continuity; Service Level Management; Problem Solving Techniques;
- AIX Operating system; DB2 for AIX (SQL language);
- IBM WebSphere MQ;
- LAN/WAN; Microsoft Operating Systems; Maximo Tool; Tivoli Workload Scheduler; Tivoli Enterprise Portal; and Lotus Notes.
- Working experience with system monitoring tools.
- Strong Verbal and Written Communication.
- Strong Recovery Management skills.
- Has previous experience working with external clients.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Quick thinker and a quick learner.
- Has previous experience working in a 24x7 Operations environment.
- Education requirements: 2 years College or equivalent
- The CLS Technical Operations Analyst provides Server and Application Operations support on a 24 x 7 basis. The role includes;
- the first response to any system alert or errors while maintaining health/system checks for custom applications. Rapid problem determination and resolution of hardware/software and the execution of an intensive established timeline.
- The OA is key to early and/or quick detection of problems.
- This staff is required to meet a contractual requirement and any gap in coverage needs to be filled by another person with overtime.
- The role requires people with hands-on Unix/Linux skills.
- The role is onsite and requires the person to be onsite at the IBM Southbury site.
- The role works a rotating shift pattern (one week on Days, one week on Evenings and one week on Nights including weekends and holidays, etc...rotates again)
