Location:  Chicago, IL (Remote is option for this long term)

Duration:  6 Months with extensions

Program Overview: This team supports two requirements within the Data Engineering space, specifically within Card Partnerships and these teams are focused on data, deployments and AWS work within this platform.  

• Key skillset
  • Junior to mid level in terms of years of experience – 5+ years is the target experience
  • Working knowledge of AWS – includes certification but hands on experience, ability to use services, functions especially within Data Engineering
  • Data Engineering: ETL knowledge, existing product development, database knowledge and have used AWS Data services, Redshift or Snowflake
  • Strong hands on experience with Scala/Spark and Python and demonstrated work developing ETL scripts within Scala
  • Knowledge of S3 buckets, DevOps, how to deploy code into AWS – Lamda services, etc.
  • Data Engineering with a strong focus on AWS is the key for this position
• Day to Day
  • Create new data ETL scripts which are on AWS using Spark/Scala and Python – all development is written in Scala on the Spark platform (programmer can pick this up easily)
  • Database experience is in Snowflake and Onelake
  • Deployment into AWS utilizing OneLake
