Data Engineer

We are an established IT Services firm looking to hire an energetic, motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills to provide onsite data support to our clients.

Data Engineer Level 1 positions available

The position calls for a hard working data support engineer with varied skills ranging from data entry to light scripting and database administration. Good communication and organizational skills are a must. Definite opportunity for growth within the company.

Required Skill Set:

Data Set Management

• Prepare source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities.
• Processes customer data and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution.
• Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures.
• Verifies entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data; combining data from both systems when account information is incomplete; purging files to eliminate duplication of data.
• Tests customer and account system changes and upgrades by inputting new data; reviewing output.
• Secures information by completing data base backups.
• Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
• Ability to perform SQL queries and light scripting to provide basic data analysis.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science Degree preferred but not required.
• Note: Clients require fingerprinting and background checks. Candidates will have to comply.
