Position : Data Engineer Duration : 12 months Location : New Jersey   Remote Work Permitted: Due to COVID-19, the client has agreed to allow the selected candidate to work remotely for the time being. However, the selected candidate must be available to report onsite as directed by the client.

Job Description:

The Senior Data Engineer is a critical member of a fast-paced, interdisciplinary team focused on architecting, building, testing, and maintaining a robust healthcare data platform.

Primary Responsibilities:

Regularly monitor data load processes to identify and resolve issues Collaborate with analytics and business teams across the organization to implement: (1) processes and systems to improve data models, increase data accessibility, and foster data-driven decision-making and (2) processes and systems to monitor data quality and ensure the production data is as accurate and complete as possible for key stakeholders Assist with the development of a comprehensive framework and provide recommendations for the data architecture, data storage, data integration, data quality, and data models Assist with technology improvements to ensure continuous enhancement of the data platform Design and build data pipelines, data streams, and system integrations Support ad-hoc data requests from internal/external clients Develop, maintain, and support data applications and reports Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field 3+ years of healthcare experience involving clinical systems (such as EHR, PACS, and digital imaging) and claims data (such as EDI) as well as extensive knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, DRG, and NDC codes Expert-level of T-SQL experience writing and performance tuning stored procedures and complex queries Expert-level and hands on experience using Microsoft Azure stack (e.g., Blob Storage, Data Factor, and Synapse Analytics) for data storage, ETL, data integration/validation and OLAP cube creation Experience with SSRS and/or Power BI Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate data warehouse plans to internal and external clients Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to simultaneously juggle several complex projects Resourceful and assertive; ability to leverage resources across the organization to get things done; seeks help and clarification as necessary Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced, ever-changing, start-up environment Committed to being a team player; excited to roll up sleeves, dig in, and collaborate with colleagues to help the company grow and succeed Acts with honor, integrity, and a high level of professionalism Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with C#, .NET, and/or VB scripting Microsoft Azure Administrator Certification Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification
