Data Entry Operator

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Enter customer and account data from source documents into internal databases.
Review data for accuracy and completeness before input.
Update and maintain information on company databases and computer systems.
Verify and correct data where necessary.
Retrieve data from databases or electronic files as requested.
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
Generate reports and prepare spreadsheets as needed.
Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in data entry or computer applications are a plus.
Proven experience as a data entry operator or office clerk.
Fast typing skills with a minimum of 40–60 words per minute.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
Familiarity with administrative duties and office equipment (e.g. printers, scanners).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with database systems, CRMs, or ERP software.
Good communication skills for internal collaboration.
Basic knowledge of document scanning and file organization.
