Design Engineer

Duties

·         Design and development of Body or Trim or Closures.

·         Manage component development throughout the design cycle from concept stage through to production line off by using given development methodologies and processes for vehicle development.

·         Execute design utilizing Catia V5 independently and by leading Supplier Engineers or CAD modelers.

·         Conduct packaging / layout studies.

·         Create CAD 2D drawings in CATIA V6 for sheet metal parts using reference GD&T documents

·         Resource must be proficient in making 2D drawings in Catia V6

·         Experience with CATIA to develop complex 3D surfacing

·         Create drawings & 3D models using TEMA specified design process

·         Manage and continuously adjust priorities and processes to maintain project targets and deliverables – i.e. schedule, performance, cost, quality

·         Visualization of issues, concerns, and gaps for responsible parts and design processes. Participate in improvement and reflection activities as required

Requirements:

·         Bachelors of Science Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.

·         Minimum 2 years of engineering design experience.

·         Minimum 2 years Engineering experience with Catia V5.

·         Must be able to effectively communicate in English
