Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated Forklift Mechanic to maintain, repair, and service our fleet of forklifts. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety. The Forklift Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring that all forklifts are operating safely and efficiently.
 

Responsibilities:
 

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on forklifts to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Diagnose mechanical problems and perform repairs on forklifts, including engine, transmission, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and components as needed, following manufacturer's specifications and safety guidelines.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including parts inventory and service logs.
• Perform safety inspections and testing on forklifts to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
• Assist in training operators on proper forklift operation and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the maintenance shop.

Requirements:
 

• Proven experience as a forklift mechanic or similar role, preferably in a logistics or warehouse environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of forklift systems, components, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures related to forklift operation and maintenance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive or diesel mechanics is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
