Front End Developer

Responsibilities:

• Perform quality assurance for newly created and modified websites and web applications. Troubleshoot reported issues, perform testing, and develop remediation plans.
• Remain current on the colleges technology resources and services, new web technologies and trends, security concerns, industry best practices, and search engine optimization. Keep colleagues and college departments informed of such new developments to promote excellence in design, usability, compliance, and innovation.
• Assist with training users on the functionality of the colleges websites and web applications.
• Provide operational support to campus departments with web-based platforms, including online portals, content management systems, online catalogs, learning management systems, and online form and survey tools.
• Schedule activities, meetings, and events to have end users participate, keeping them directly involved with the design process of their respective web content areas.
• Work independently to complete tasks and develop effective procedures for completing projects. Communicate project status and updates to manager, team, and stakeholders in a timely fashion, as needed and at regular intervals.
• Create and maintain documentation for designs, configurations, and processes.
• Collect and maintain metrics to help in institutional decision-making and strategic planning.
• Learn new skills and technologies as needed, including coding languages, programming methodologies, and tool sets. Participate in internal and external training programs.
