Front-end Developer

• Demonstrate expert level knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, and XML.
• Write JavaScript as needed to solve user interface problems.
• Use Sass to make CSS organization, management, and editing more efficient.
• Create high fidelity, pixel-perfect, fully responsive and accessible prototypes to serve as a blueprint for application development.
• Collaborate with in-house .NET developers to ensure smooth transition between prototypes and .NET applications.
• Create and maintain related project documentation using Adobe XD, Axure, Slack, SharePoint, Word, InDesign, etc.
• Be fluent in a range of code editors such as Visual Studio Code, Eclipse, or Brackets.
• Collaborate in .NET implementations working in Visual Studio with Team Foundation Server. Experience with cloudbased hosting environments preferred.
• Keep abreast of latest web development technologies, particularly trends in responsive and mobile design and latest developments and trends in accessibility requirements as outlined by the Web Content Accessibility Group (2.0 / 2.1).
• Contribute to the Pattern UI Library on a regular basis and participate in division level presentations to knowledge share best practices in front-end development.
• Serve as the subject matter expert working in a consultative manner to DOE staff to develop materials used on organizational websites and applications;

Project Specific Technical Requirements:

• Expert level knowledge of CSS and HTML
• Expert level knowledge of Javascript and jQuery
• Angular experience preferred but not required
• React JS experience preferred but not required
• Expert level knowledge of Sass
• Experience working in Visual Studio Code, TFS and Microsoft environment
• Expert level knowledge of Bootstrap 4 At least 2 years of experience in the following: coding for accessibility and knowledge of WCAG coding practices
